Colour Paints Your Personality

November 24, 2009

Dewey Sadka, author of “The Dewey Color System,” has studied the influence of colors for over 20 years, and he says the powerful link between your favorite hue and your personality traits is astounding.

Green — You’re strong-willed and prefer to find solutions to problems on your own. This firm belief in self-reliance is something you pass on to your kids, along with an enduring faith in their own abilities. You’re able to empathize with others, lending a nonjudgemental ear when needed.

Red — You’re like the Energizer Bunny — a ball of fire who seldom slows down. Reds are leaders with a large circle of friends, and co-workers also look to you for guidance. You have high standards for your kids, but they appreciate your honest interest and sense of fun, too.

Blue — You’re as cool and calm as your favorite color, and your laid-back sensibility works well in crisis situations. You surround yourself with beautiful objects, many of which you created yourself. Fearless when obstacles are in your path, you determinedly meet your highest goals.

Gray — You’re gentle soft-spoken, self-possessed and extremely comfortable in your own skin. You’re also bright as a penny, and people are drawn to your witty intellect. But you’re no smart aleck, preferring to work as a long term player, rather than being the boss.

Purple — You’re a unique individual with a strong creative bend a taste for bold fashions. Your pals love to join you on shopping sprees because you encourage them to break out of the mold. You’re also quite intuitive, instinctively saying the right thing at the right time.

Yellow — You’re a powerful thinker with a positive attitude that brings people together. You face any obstacle with a can-do attitude, searching for new ways to solve problems. Your kids love your imaginative, adventurous spirit, and your inventive vacations are always a blast.

Black — You’re very focused and loyal. A nature lover who dislikes artificial substitutes, you wouldn’t be caught dead with a plastic Christmas tree. You also love to be the center of attention, treating others with the same respect you demand.

Orianthi Panagaris Rocks

First time I saw her I didn’t realize what I had seen. Now that I’ve seen “This is It” all I can say is “Wow!”

Orianthi Panagaris was one of 2 guitar players hired for Michael Jackson’s ill fated final concert series in London. And if you’ve seen AEG’s “This Is It” you know what I mean, this lady rocks!

She’s a 24 year old Australian who picked up the acoustic guitar at six, the electric guitar at 11, by 15 was writing and performing – and has been described by The New York Times as a Carlos Santana protégé. The pair met and jammed while Santana was touring Australia and the following quote from Santana appears on Panagaris’ MySpace page: “If I was going to pass the baton to somebody, she would be my first choice”.

Good news is she’s been signed to Geffen records to a deal all her own. While not the rock edge that I was so impressed with, it’s a great entrance onto the pop/rock stage.

Watch her video here

Then have a look at this live stage performance.

Oriantho Panagaris is someone to watch. I can’t wait to hear more from her!

Pregnancy Q&A

October 6, 2009

stethoscope

Reasons why I would not make a good obstetrician:

Q: Should I have a baby after 35?

A: No, 35 children is enough.

Q: I’m two months pregnant now. When will my baby move?

A: With any luck, right after he finishes college.

Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby’s sex?

A: Childbirth.

Q: My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she’s borderline irrational.

A: So what’s your question?

Q: My childbirth instructor says it’s not pain I’ll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?

A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current.

Q: When is the best time to get an epidural?

A: Right after you find out you’re pregnant.

Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labor?

A: Not unless the word “alimony” means anything to you.

Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth?

A: Yes, pregnancy.

Q: Do I have to have a baby shower?

A: Not if you change the baby’s diaper very quickly.

Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?

A: When the kids are in college.

2012: The Reality

October 2, 2009

2012movie

This morning I received an email from a friend asking if I had seen the scene from the upcoming movie 2012 last night, it was on every TV channel so it was hard to miss. Here’s what I wrote to her:

Yeah, I did see it. Stayed up later than I should have just so that I COULD see it.

I’m impressed with the special effects etc., but that scene was so over the top that credibility may be (thankfully) lost. Their interpretation of what will happen in 2012, if anything happens at all, could be damaging.

As you know I’ve been going further and further down the rabbit hole in my self studies of consciousness and I’ve come to a few conclusions, one of which is that we can control things in our environment more than I originally believed.

The Secret talks about manifesting things into your life and I believe that works on a personal level. You’ve heard of prayer circles and the like where a small group of people meditate/pray for something, ie. someone’s health and they are able to effectuate change? Now, imagine just 1/10th of the planet, nearly 700-million people meditating/praying on the same thing…voluntarily or involuntarily…what are we with our collective conscious going to be able to accomplish? We could move mountains….or worse.

If enough people on the planet begin to fear the worst for 2012…they may accidentally manifest those things.

I continue to tell people that 2012 will be a time of peace, a time of realizing our connectedness to nature, of our one-ness with the living planet and to the living Universe. A Revelation! NOTE: The Greek word for Apocalypse is defined as “the act of revealing or unveiling”.

Noetic science is making huge strides in proving what I’m talking about in terms of our collective consciousness. Their investigations into things like clairvoyance, astral projection, telepathy, ESP, remote viewing, etc….is pointing to one undeniable fact…we are all connected to one another on the spiritual plane.

We are all one. A part of a collective whole…and as such we wield great power. But that power could be compared to a child playing with a loaded gun, we just don’t realize that we’re loaded. (so to speak)

If we’re not careful we may get what we wish for. Or (if you think like me) if we’re lucky we’ll get what we wish for… :0)
