Free Gas
OK, I could have used this last summer with all of the driving we did but I’m sure it’ll come in handy even now as we get ready for the Thanksgiving long weekend. This is a calculator that will tell you how much it would cost to drive somewhere.
For example a trip from New York to Los Angeles would cost $678 in a Hummer H3 and $219 in a Toyota Prius. From Montreal to New York City I calculated it would cost me $47.24…and 6 hours 17 minutes, longer than a plane ride but MUCH cheaper!
It uses Google maps, takes into account what kind of car you’re driving and then calculates how much you’ll spend in gas…even giving you the average gas price (of the moment) along the route!
